    Welcome to CLC South Australia

There are currently 10 groups operating with over 60 members. Most operate in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide, with one in the Adelaide Hills, one in Victor Harbor and one in the Mt. Gambier/Millicent area.

Our members are active in the daily life mission, which is an authenticity of being as a result of an awareness of God in all things. Some of the large number of activities, outside our family and paid work, with which our members are involved are: advocating for and walking with refugees, various services in our parishes, hospital chaplaincy and visiting the sick, social justice action groups, nature conservation, support for and participation in Retreat in Daily Life, giving the First Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius, support for alienated families and minority groups, etc.

Members meet every fortnight for prayer and sharing about the presence and action of God in their lives. They use the Ignatian tools of spirituality, such as the daily awareness examen, retreats, discernment, and the spiritual exercises, which are a way of preparing and disposing the soul to finding the will of God in our life.

The South Australian Executive Council (SAEXCO) plans activities for the members such as retreats, guide training and gatherings around a theme etc. SAEXCO communicates closely with the NEXCO, which has the responsibility for the national community, and with other EXCOs of the other states. Our national community is linked to the World CLC Community.

When you contact us we will be most happy to explain CLC and share our experiences with you.
